Festival Objectives

 

* To improve the lives of young people by providing educational opportunities through the art of storytelling.

* To present a professional festival to the Lowcountry communities, focusing on storytelling, poetry, and literary arts.

* To present nationally, regionally, and locally acclaimed, professional storytellers, poets, and authors to Lowcountry schools and communities to demonstrate the power of the spoken and written word.

* To provide families, students, educators, and tourists with high quality, entertainment, as a method to promote cultural awareness, increase literacy, and develop ways to creatively use Language.
